I shall not annoy you with explanations and reasons of my long silence - the reason of which is simply ... lazyness. I have not been able to do anything this season, except ... nothing. It has been a complete rest, which I really needed. In a few days I return to Paris - loaden with all manners of agreable remembrances from my stay in Switzerland. Your letter will be one of them ...".
