Bemerkung:   Un des dossiers originaux comporte l'indication « Traduction d'Héraclite par Mendelson » ("sic"). Le dossier a été soumis à Mayotte Bollack, qui confirme qu'il s'agit d'Harvey Mendelsohn, étudiant américain venu s'installer à Paris et qui a notamment côtoyé Jean et Mayotte Bollack en Dordogne ; Harvey Mendelsohn avait de sa propre initiative proposé de traduire "Héraclite ou la Séparation (éd., trad. et comm.)". Ce dossier en est la trace. Il semble que la traduction anglaise soit restée inédite. Mayotte Bollack explique que Jean Bollack avait perdu de vue Harvey Mendelsohn.  D'après la date de la publication originale en français et une indication qu'on peut trouver dans <i>Critical Inquiry</i>, 4, 1978 : « Harvey Mendelsohn is the principle translator of the fourteen-volume <i>Dictionary of Scientific Biography</i> ; he is currently working on translations of a French commentary on Heraclitus and a selection of Szondi's essays to be published by Yale University Press ».  Un ts. annoté.
