Bemerkung: Many references to the Acetylcholine debate and to ongoing work. 29.01.1937 Dale comments on Eccles´ review in Ergebnisse der Physiologie, expanding on the effects of application of acetylcholine and eserine on the ganglion cells of the nictitating membrane of the cat. Repetitive discharge of the cells is difficult to detect at the moment for technical limitations 03.08.1938 Dale briefly reports interesting results of stimulation experiments on ganglion cells. If the cell is exhausted by repetitive stimulation, acetylcholine is no more detectable. Injection of glucose restores at once transmission and acetylcholine output
