Griechischer Gelehrter und orthodoxer Geistlicher; geboren zwischen 1560 und 1566 in Kylani auf Zypern; als Knabe (ca. 1570/71) in türkischer Gefangenschaft, danach auf Kreta; Schüler des Maximos Margunios; 1584 mit Margunios in Konstantinopel; er reiste 1590 zu Martin Crusius (1526-1607) nach Tübingen; 1591 Rückkehr nach Zypern, Lehrer für Griechisch, aktiv in theologischen und kirchenpolitischen Zeitfragen
